As an ad hoc observer, PostCom actively contributes to the work of the European Regulators Group (ERGP). The President participates in the international conferences with the Head of the Technical Secretariat, while the members of the Technical Secretariat are active in special committees. PostCom is also represented in the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN), which has the task of establishing European standards for postal services. In its work, the Committee takes account of the harmonisation measures adopted at international level. The regulatory authority is responsible for recording these standards and determining their impact on Swiss postal legislation. The regulatory authority is also a member of the Swiss Association for Standardization (SNV). In Switzerland, the SNV acts as a hub for national and international standards.
